Why You Should Be Proud To Be A Malaysian

August 31, 2018

Tanah Tumpahnya Darahku. Each country has its ups and downs. Like Malaysia, it has its own splendid and dull edges, in any case, rather than focusing on the dull edge, the great things are in reality considerably more than that. Thus, here are the points that will make you realize how beautiful Malaysia is and be a proud Malaysian.

1.       Multicultural Paradise

Malaysia is a country that is peace and proud of its multicultural community. This diversity is a unique mix of people that are different in religions, races, ethnicities, customs, and even languages that they use. Three Major ethnic gatherings in Malaysia are the Malays, Chinese and Indians while in Sabah and Sarawak, there are a handful of indigenous ethnic groups with their own particular one of a kind culture and heritage. However, Malaysian can still harmonize together and create a strong bond and understanding between them. They share stories and celebrate each other.

2. Numerous Festival

Since Malaysia is a big diversity community, thus it has a lot of festival along the year. You can have Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Chinese New Year, Deepavali, Gawai Harvest Festival and the list goes on. Here you can see various customs that you will not get from any place. Traditional clothes, energetic dances, authentic arts and mouthwatering foods. The most interesting thing is, the people celebrate these festivals together regardless of anything.

3. Spectacular Places

Let us check out the list, we have Langkawi Island, Mount Kinabalu, Kundasang, not to mention the rain forests, the beaches, the seas, stunning dive spot in Sabah and many others places and spots that are literally considered as the heaven on Earth. Foreigners are willing to spend thousands just to feel like what Malaysian feel. Some of them were even decided to stay in Malaysia. This makes Malaysia as the top country to be on the wish list of everyone on this planet.

4. Fauna and Flora Heaven

You can find many species of them in Malaysia. Starting from the bigger flower, Rafflesia, to the smallest living things that exist on this blessed land. And one of them is Bunga Raya (Hibiscus Flower) has been announced as the National Flower of Malaysia. Have you heard about Orangutan? They are one of the unique mammals that you can find in Malaysia.

5. Delicious Food

People cannot resist themselves to not admit about the delightful cuisine here, in Malaysia. You can find Malay foods, Chinese dishes and also Indian meals in just one single country. Plus, the fruits and vegetables, particularly, are often colorful, ripe, juicy and totally delicious. For example, the tasty king of food, Durian, unfortunately not all can stand the smell. Other than that, you can find more traditional foods during the big festival, like Ketupat, Lemang and Rendang during the Eid Day.

There is actually a lot more beautiful things about Malaysia. This 31st August 2019, Malaysian will be celebrating 62 years of independence since 1957. We have gone through this together and now we hope that Malaysia will stay in peace and become on top of the world.

Happy 62nd National Day, Malaysia!
